Junior Gents Mentoring

The Junior Gents Mentoring Project is a mentoring program adopted by the Men of Zeta Pi Lambda Chapter. The program seeks to mentor teen males of color, ages 12 to 17, in a variety of life skills with the goal of developing confident, well-adjusted  young men who possess life skills necessary to be productive members of our community.

The program targets Seattle youth who reside in the Central Area, specifically those who attend
TOPS K-8, Madrona K-8, Washington MS, and Garfield HS. There are 7 skill areas the program will present in a lively, interactive manner:
  • Communication, Interviewing Skills, and How to Dress for Success
  • Health and Wellness Summit
  • Technology and Social Media/Financial Literacy
  • Day of Community Service
  • Careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics
  • College Prep Workshop
  • Civic Responsibility
  • Dining Etiquette

Junior Gents will meet Saturday afternoons, January to April on a bi-weekly basis and will conclude with a recognition luncheon.  For more information or to reserve a spot, please contact the program chair.
