Alpha Phi Alpha Recognizes Seattle NPHC Leaders at 66th Western Regional Conference

While celebrating the opening Public Recognition and Awards Program of their 66th Western Regional Conference; The Alpha Investment: Innovating for Greater Impact; the distinguished men of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. honored the esteemed leaders of the Seattle and Tacoma NPHC by presenting certificates for Community Service Recognition for steadfast commitment to community service and leadership of our organizations in the effort to achieve higher social, economic and intellectual status.

The program also highlighted contributions from notable community innovators and fellow Greeks; Dr. Elson S. Floyd, President Washington State University; Reverend Dr. Samuel B. McKinney, Pastor Emeritus, Mount Zion Baptist Church; Alvin Nurse, Retired Educator University place School District; Nate Miles, Vice President, Eli Lilly & company; and Keisha S. Scarlett, Principal South Shore PK-8 School. Also honored was Dr. Shelia Edwards Lange, Vice President for Minority Affairs, University of Washington. The evening was keynoted by Garfield High School senior Mohammed Jagana and closing remarks were given by Alpha Phi Alpha General President Mark S. Tillman. The Seattle and Tacoma NPHC jointly hosted the Hospitality Suite for conference attendees after the public meeting and awards recognition program.
