The 66th Western Region Convention of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. will be held April 9 - 13, 2014, at the Seattle Renaissance Hotel at 515 Madison Street, Seattle, WA 98104.

Members of Alpha Phi Alpha at both the collegiate and alumni levels will travel from (primarily) California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, Colorado, Alaska, Hawaii, Korea, Oregon, and all over Washington to Seattle, Washington.  The Zeta Pi Lambda (Seattle Alumni), Iota Mu Lambda (Tacoma Alumni) and Alpha Xi (University of Washington) chapters will serve as hosts to both members and guests of Alpha Phi Alpha.

By charter, Alpha Phi Alpha calls annual, regional conventions in each of its five regions to further its mission of “developing leaders, promoting brotherhood and academic excellence, while providing service and advocacy for the African-American community.” Workshops will be held to train a new generation of leaders, build the technological capacity of members and bring consistency to the implementation of the fraternity's national community service programs – A Voteless People is a Hopeless People; Go To High School, Go To College; Project Alpha; and Brother’s Keeper.

Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. will host its Public Program on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 7:00 PM, honoring local heroes and elected officials who have demonstrated exemplary community service.  Immediately following the Public Program, the Western Region Vice President will host all members, guests and friends in an opportunity for fellowship and networking as the organization prepares for its convening in the great city of Seattle. On Friday, April 11, there will be a scholarship pageant with college-age women, sponsored by college chapters, followed by a step show competition that will showcase the creativity and athleticism of our members. Following the step show there will be a dance. A gala will take place on Saturday, April 12, 2014, to celebrate the winners of various competitions during convention and the accomplishments of fraternity members throughout the year.
